Kaleidoscope!

As part of some small experimentation work that I was doing along with the photoshop work, I`ve only just made these quick kaleidoscope examples.
The examples where originally made from the previous photoshop work that I made in my last update, they only took a few minutes to make and alter.

If you`re looking to make something like this, then it`s best to look at the written tutorials that you can just google for; I would try and explain how to make these quick examples, but I`m very, very bad at explaining things.

Photoshopping those embarrassing phones

Here are the photoshopped images of the photos of the phones!
Most of the images are done very easily with different filter effects, this has been my first time using photoshop in almost a year so I am a little rusty.
The main idea of using photoshop for this first week was just to get us accustom to using the apple macs and learning how to use the basics of photoshop.

One of the main techniques that I learned involved thresholding images and then using them for some sort of print making, or, adding layers of images behind them and then deleting some of the black or white colors from the thresholding... This means that the images i`ve added underneath show through, but you can still see the original image on top, does that make sense?

I`m not going to bother writing a lot on photoshop, cause everything i`ll say right now will most probably not make sense; the easiest way to learn quick skills on photoshop is to watch tutorials on youtube and use online tutorials where they can explain the processes fully.

How embarrassing where your old phones?

As part of our first few week son inductions to the course, we where asked to bring in three household objects that we would possibly use on a daily basis, my objects where originally three plain white mugs... They where definitely too boring..
What else do i use on a daily basis?
Well there's my laptop and my phone... But I definitely don`t want to be breaking up three laptops!
So I went with the easier option,
Three old mobile phones.

When I say old as well, I mean very, very old... When I was at school, you either had a Blackberry phone or an iPhone, and I definitely didn`t have an iPhone! The main point that was highlighted within this project was that we needed to deconstruct/destroy/take apart the objects that we bought in.
We have three weeks of inductions, with three different teachers, so every week the object that we break apart changes to one of the other three. For the first week, I used the old blackberry phone that I had when I was in secondary school, and trust me, it`s a disgusting looking phone as well.
It had been sat in one of my drawers at home for a few years and was extremely dirty and old, it was falling apart before I even got into University.

On the first day, we simply had to take a lot of pictures of the phone at different angles and at different stages of deconstruction.
This didn`t take too long, and in total I must of got about 50+ photos of just the same small phone, then I must of sat in subway for a very long time... Then came back and took apart just a little bit more.
The only problem was with just taking photos of a small phone for the entire day was that it got repetitive and I had enough pictures to begin performing some photoshop surgery!

That will be in a separate update that i`ll upload later on today!
